At tonight's Joplin R-8 Board of Education, a "clean" audit report was presented by the firm of Mense, Churchwell, and Mense.
Everything school officials have been doing has been done by the book, the board was told and administration has been following its budget.
Of course, that is the problem, when you have a budget that you have already said will leave the district with just an eight percent reserve balance and will miraculously improve to a 25 percent reserve by 2015.
There must be a lot of items they are planning on selling.

Ask a CPA what the term "clean" audit report means in this context. It probably doesn't mean what you think it does.
