Neosho man killed in accident at Schreiber Foods plant

Schreiber Foods issued the following statement following the death of an employee, Jackie Parker, Neosho, in an accident Tuesday afternoon at the Carthage plant:

"We’re devastated by the loss of one of our dear friends and coworkers. Our thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends at this difficult time. We ask that you please respect their privacy during this emotional period.

"We’re working with authorities to investigate the incident. Grief counselors are onsite to help employees as they mourn the loss of this valued and long-term member of our company. We’ll continue to provide that counseling as long as needed. Additional counseling is available through our employee assistance program.”

A malfunction in an auto pallet machine led to Parker's death.

OSHA will investigate the accident.

So sorry for the Family of Jackie Parker. Hopefully Schreiber Foods and the State of Missouri are Investigating this Incident and making sure that all Safety Protocols are in Place and Being Followed to the Letter - so this never happens again.

Yeah they should've already had everything like the floor with padding and the machines locked up and alot of other safety and if they would've not been unsafe then I wouldn't be so lost right now and for the rest of my life.My life isn't gonna ever be right I've lost two of my brothers now and I'm the baby and they suppose to be here to protect me forever and now I'm on my own.Just don't understand why he was doing this all alone and nobody was around at all to save him or help him at all.Where the hell was everyone my brother didn't deserve any of this and my family.I hope they destroy that damn machine
