Josh Hawley casts first Senate vote

The youngest member of the United States Senate, Missouri Republican Josh Hawley (pictured) cast his first vote today and naturally tweeted about it.

Just cast my first vote in the US Senate to protect our great ally Israel. Dems voting no. Won’t let Senate work because they want to punish @realDonaldTrump for seeking more border security. So they’re against protecting Israel AND against protecting Americans? The swamp at work

Political commentary isn't your strong suit.

Howdy-Doody Hawley hates the First Amendment even though the corporate Meercat claims to be a Constitutional scholar by virtue of bringing up coffee for the Hobby Lobby lawsuit and helping file a lawsuit to end Obamacare, even while saying that he supported "pre-existing coonditions."

Pity his first vote was to criminalize boycotts of the overtly apartheit Israeli occupation of the Palesinian West Bank, even forcing teachers to sign loyalty oaths to not personally boycott the Israeli Occupation. What about the First Amendment allowing private citizens to buy and sell to whom they please instead of worrying about boycotting an occupation regime nine time zones away? How is that compatible with the First Amendment?

Howdy-Doody Hawley (Republican-Likud) has certainly put Missouri and Missourians first, ha, ha, ha. At least Cliar was able to feign being a human being instead of a wind-up corporate meercat puppet.

I just keep saying to myself “six years of him”.

Got to have one term of Republicans first said...

Don't worry too much. Maybe it shall be a blur like the Greitens Administration which lasted not six months. In Missouri we always have to have a term of Republicans before they steal everything and bring us two terms of Democrats.

For example once John Ashcroft was done being governor we had two terms of Democrat Mel Carnahan and one of Boob Holden. Then one wretched term of Matt Blunt who was asked to leave after one term it was that bad and two terms of Democrat Jay Nixon.

Then less than a year of Eric Greitens and three years of Mike Parsons. History suggests that some Democrat will get two terms after 2020.

This feckless turkey Howdy-Doody Hawley is such an idiot that maybe he will end up like Greitens and forced to resign or will make a path to another Cliar MacAsskill. Missouri has been always kind to Democrats making fiscally conservative Southern Democrat noises.Especially when following a Corporate Republican stealing everythinng not red hot or nailed down.

A Missouri political history lesson said...

One term of Republicans making a big deal of "running Missouri like a business" in which they take everything they can out of the till for themselves followed by two terms of moderate conservative Democrats promising their base big spending and higher taxes who then learn that they have to balance the budget and beg the taxpayers for higher taxes. Usually the Democrat governor learns his painful lessons within the first three or four months, then works with the State Assembly and gets a second term.

Now whether you wish to call these realities "whining" or not it sure beats Republican thievery and incompetence. I didn't like Mel Carnahan or Jay Nixon much but they did know how to run a state house.

Missouri always works best with a Democrat governor and a slightly majority Republican State Assembly. This gridlock ensures that only what really needs to be done is accomplished.

@ 6:40

According to the Urban Dictionary, brattle is what Trump does when he see a playmate or porn star, which is taking off his pants while she swats him with a magazine.

6:40, perhaps if they would have been given participation trophies they would be happier.

He's a real winner like Governor Greitens!

In what way?

@ 4:06- That question you are asking is like one of those secret handshakes to figure out if you are on Team Blue Elephant or Team Red Jacka$$!

Kind of like calling someone names when they ask a legitimate question rather than responding with an intelligent answer let's know you're a leftist, Honey Bear?

The ironic part of this post is that Turner cries when someone pokes fun at him but then posts a picture like this of a Republican congressman. This underscores his lifomg failure to be taken seriously as a journalist. He could learn a thing or two from those who came before him. At least they had integrity.

Hahahaha

Did Josh Hawley step in some campaign finance doody with the gun fondlers?

https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2019/01/nra-republicans-campaign-ads-senate-josh-hawley/

"The National Rifle Association appears to have illegally coordinated its political advertising with Republican candidates in at least three recent high-profile US Senate races, according to Federal Communications Commission records. In Senate races in Missouri and Montana in 2018 and North Carolina in 2016, the gun group’s advertising blitzes on behalf of GOP candidates Josh Hawley, Matt Rosendale, and Richard Burr were authorized by the very same media consultant that the candidates themselves used—an apparent violation of laws designed to prevent independent groups from synchronizing their efforts with political campaigns.

In December, the Trace and Mother Jones reported on a similar pattern of coordination between the NRA and Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. In that case, Trump and the NRA hired affiliates of the same company—National Media Research, Planning and Placement—to direct their ad spending. Employees of that firm, operating under different corporate identities, placed ads for both Trump and the NRA on television stations across the country, with the apparent goal of reinforcing each other’s message."

If anyone ever puts the smarmy little shit under oath in front of a grand jury I bet they get to watch him sing!

I wouldn't be all that shocked to find that a lot of laundered ru$$ian money was used by the NRA to buy ads for repubes. Looking at you Howdy.

The brilliant move by Putin to co-opt the US evangelical taliban movement and thus the controlling interests of the republican party apparatus leads us to where we are today.

Meantime the bible beaters keep thumping along in their bubbles of Faux News babble.

8:09, yep you got the world figured out, Girlfriend. The Communists, the Christian's and the people who watch conservative news programs have all banded together in one huge conspiracy to ruin your unicorn and rainbow filled dream world. My only question in regards to your otherwise solid theory is, why didn't they get the Nazis and the UFO conspiracists in on it? That way every boogeyman in your closet could have aligned against you, Precious.
