THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WARNING FOR FREEZING RAIN TONIGHT AND SNOW SATURDAY NIGHT AND EARLY SUNDAY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 AM CST SUNDAY. THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT. * TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...TONIGHT AND SATURDAY MORNING FOR FREEZING RAIN AND SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY FOR SNOW. * SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS...UP TO AN INCH. * ICE ACCUMULATIONS...AROUND ONE QUARTER OF AN INCH. * IMPACTS...ICE AND SNOW WILL LIKELY CAUSE SIGNIFICANT TRAVEL PROBLEMS BEGINNING LATE TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING AND THEN AGAIN SATURDAY NIGHT INTO EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. ICE COULD ALSO BUILD UP ON TREES AND POWER LINES WHICH COULD LEAD TO SOME POWER OUTAGES.
