Last night, I posted stories about Joplin and Jefferson City schools considering different solutions to a provision of the Affordable Health Care Act that requires employers to provide health care coverage for any employees working 30 or more hours per week. Since schools have traditionally not provided health care coverage for substitute teachers, this will become a big-dollar issue after Jan. 1.
