What is the point of this video? If you live in Joplin R8's zone you go to JHS unless you want to pay to go somewhere else. Is any other district doing this? No. So what are they really promoting here, and what did this piece of fluff cost us?

Why do they use that same cheesy music in all of their videos?

I thought the other day I kind of missed my old friends at JHS and then I remembered they all quit. This video has the same butt kissers they used for everything when I was there. So they must think the voters will forget all the screw ups in construction when they see this video. And that video is nothing like what JHS is like. They left out the delinquents and drug addicts. No teachers are getting cussed at in the video. #bigfreakingjoke

A Tobin Schultz promotional video, more like. Getting everybody used to looking at him before cj tabs him for the new football coach.

How many pr heifers helped make this possible?

Who are they trying to kid? This made me feel sick. What has my kid learned in Fusion? That you get to go for open lunch on Thursdays and cut class and it'll get covered up and called a school activity. And hey, my kid got sent home for a violation in dress code. Didn't anyone making this video notice the girl with the halter top? I guess if you're cute and blonde you can do that. Everyone else who isn't a Schultz favorite better watch out.

LOL!

Mr. Schultz has also been telling students how much Mr. Turner has been hurting them and the school with his writing. He knows better than to try to say that to any students from East, but some of the others believe it. Mr. Schultz is a prick.

Now you folks don't have to be so harsh. The man has a job to do that requires promoting his program to keep funding coming in, like that Bright Futures cash we were all dumb enough to donate. As for the rest of it, I really don't get it either. Why are they bragging about having one set of kids selling unhealthy syrupy, caffeinated drinks to another set of kids when they should all be in class? I send mine to school to get ready for college. They can learn the skills in this video by working fast food. Looking at the scores in Jopin, I'd say they better focus on academics.

What's up with that prolonged shot of Mrs. McGowen? So dramatic. They're just selling coffee and it isn't very good a lot of the time.

only r8 would spend class time getting kids ready for entry level jobs and then think they had something to brag about your tax dollars at work

Is Fusion what they used to call Link Crew? It was a good part of why I left. It wasn't the Link Crew kids. It was teachers being told not to give Fs or write referrals and then Cantwell giving the credit for improved behavior and failure rates to Link Crew. She's going to ride that pony all the way to the finish line. Screw the teachers. It's all about image. As demonstrated in that video. PR trumps reality every time.

If Tobin Schultz gets the JHS football job, the program, which is a borderline joke already, will take a turn for the worst.
Coach Shields was starting to make progress before they ripped the rug out of underneath him. Hiring Schultz will ruin the program.
I guess the good news would be, if Schultz gets the job, after three losing seasons, they'll crapcan his rear end too and then he can leave the Joplin Schools all together.

Several thoughts:
1) The video is very well done.
2) Why do we need a promotional video? Kids have to go to school.
3) The coffee shop isn't just about serving coffee, they do have to learn the business aspects.
4) Coach Shields and Coach Place were actually doing pretty well. Much better than what we've had in the past. One more thing we can't stick with long enough to make it work.
5) They need to come up with a video that will show everyone how they are making things right instead of continuing to rip off the tax payers and cheat kids out of an education.
6) I don't really care about seeing all the suck-ups any more.

Sadly need a video tour of the new gym seating. Until the taxpayers see the new new seats (and not the old new seats) they may think their money has been wasted.

Also need video of the "not a chandelier" whatchamacallit.

Is it true that there is a bid out for some new program "Shades for their Future" or something like that? Heard there might be a few people with worries about students and teachers developing cataracts from their new improved learning environment.

Did I see a spotlighted teacher in jeans and a sweatshirt? How did that slip by the censors?
