Who nominated her?

Probably she nominated herself. Self-promotion is her specialty. Or she used her coercion skills. It's a toss up.

Sometimes you get these so-called circle jerks going on. Not that I think that ex[plains everything that happens in Joplin.

Education
Angie Besendorfer - Joplin

Assistant Superintendent, Dr. Angie Besendorfer, showed herself as a 360 leader when she was charged with the task of helping redesign education for a 21st century learning environment and beyond-and open school on time-in just 87 days after an EF-5 tornado destroyed six schools and heavily damaged four others in our hometown of Joplin, Missouri. One of the biggest challenges we faced in getting school started on time in August 2011 was how to provide a quality education for our 2,200 high school students. Angie led team members to quickly secure a lease on an empty big box retail store at our local mall to provide educational space for juniors and seniors. This is just the tip of the iceberg of the transformation of the educational landscape Angie has led. Through Dr. Besendorfer’s talents and skills to build a solid team and build leaders from within, three major areas of focus shifted how we previously provided education: mentoring students to an individualized career path, re-imagining learning space/time during the school day, and empowering students to own their learning. She has been a great mentor, leader, and innovator that will far exceed her time on this earth.

That's about right. The destruction she is leaving behind her will definitely be felt for years. I guess the fools in charge of this award can't read news or data any better than the MSSU education department. What a load of crap.

Funny, I thought getting those schools going was CJ's single claim to fame. So it was Angie? Which is the true story? Neither, I'm sure.

What a load. Better give Hillbilly Pumping and Hauling a call.

Sorry, 6:01, but I can't stand to read that. It's just too much knowing what she did to the people in this district.

@ 6:42-Besendorfer can either agree with the statements made in the nomination or correct them. Randy should make every effort to obtain an on the record statement from her concerning the claims made in this nomination.

As to the person writing the nomination, it seems likely that only someone exposed to all the buzzwords and indoctrination could construct a sentence like this one:

Through Dr. Besendorfer’s talents and skills to build a solid team and build leaders from within, three major areas of focus shifted how we previously provided education: mentoring students to an individualized career path, re-imagining learning space/time during the school day, and empowering students to own their learning.

Get out the hip waders. What a joke. Wish it was a funny one.

7:13--
No one who works for her is smart enough to write that sentence. You can bet she wrote it herself, and more than likely on company time. Funny thing is, none of those claims have been around long enough to see if they worked or not, but everything else she has done has been a disaster. There's plenty of evidence to back that. I guess if you don't believe that schools are there for learning, then it works somehow. The only true career building so far has been for Angie and her little backstabbers.

I'm not sure if I can argue completely. There was a time before the way they "educate" students now when kids actually learned something and had to behave. She sure enough has made some changes, sure enough. Too bad they all suck.

Omg...what a load..poor CJ must be crying right now... He isnt the top dog now,....Mutt & Jeff & the Board of Stooges....all of this group will in prison in a couple of years for the dishonesty, corruption, lies, theft, & who knows what else...if I were those underlings I would be working on my resume & running like hell before I get indicted,too....

I think I threw up a little.

Was someone indicted? I missed that when I read the paper. Oh yeah--it was The Globe.
Keep writing the news, Mr. Turner. Otherwise, we know nothing about the schools or the community besides warm and fuzzy crap.

Isn't it obvious? Turner has a type of superhero power that allows him to see the good and the bad in everyone. Anyone who doesn't see the evil that festers in this beast of a woman is blind. Or perhaps Angie has more power than even turner can understand. Her ability to manipulate and deceive goes far beyond the Joplin R-8. It goes all throughout the state. Is it spreading? One day will she be the Lex Luther to Turner's Superman and try for world dominance?
