Video- Hitler finds out about the Turner Report

One of the things that irritates all teachers is when they have to go through professional training that they cannot apply to the classroom.

For the teachers who work in the Joplin R-8 School District, where a day is not a successful one unless you have attended at least five meetings, professional development is an everyday thing, and as you might expect, even when you have things heavily scripted, as they have done during the Angie Besendorfer (C. J. Huff, too) administration, there are times when you run out of things that are actually worth presenting to the teachers.

That happened several times when I was still working in the district and one of those times, one of the teachers who was presenting did not have enough material fill at the alloted time period and since one Besendorrfer decree has always been that the meetings have to begin on time and last every minute that is slotted for them.

So on this particular occasion, the presenter showed us a website where you could make entertaining Hitler videos.

I am glad I got something out of Angie Besendorfer's idea of professional development.

I thought this was the worst idea for classroom use, teaching kids to make light of a monster like Hitler. But I confess, I really had to giggle at this.

I see the underlying dismay in this clip but I see the humor too. I once thought that Springfield was, not necessarily immune to this but better than this, above this kind of double dealing but after finding out that Ridder had made a deal with Nicastro I know better. Thank God my son is out of R-12 now (graduated thank you very much)with this kind of leadership and Common Core barreling down the pike at them. The bad thing is with Common Core is I don't like it but I can't put a finger on why my gut tells me it's bad news.

Hey Randy! What do you think about an R8 Friday news dump? The best one for that of the year today. If there was anything embarrassing, this would be a good day to bury it.
