C. J. Huff; Common Core is not a scary thing

C. J. Huff may say Common Core is not a scary thing, but the fact that people like C. J. Huff think it is great should make people question it.

Unfortunately, we are likely to find that all five finalists for Missouri Commissioner of Education support Common Core.

The Missouri Board of Education is continuing with its plans to implement Common Core no matter what the legislature and the voters think.

What people can see is that your scores absolutely suck and have fallen every year since you arrived. I don't think anyone will want to buy what you're selling. That data sure comes in handy, doesn't it? Especially the data you can't alter, unlike attendance and behavior records.

Um, last I knew the legislature controls funding for education, and the legislature has rejected CCSS for Missouri. I somehow doubt that CJ, despite the years of practice, is capable of moving the legislature to fund his plans if he throws CCSS back at them. All the crocodile tears in the world won't help. Numbers don't lie, and Cj's numbers reflect inept management, poorly thought out ideas, bungled implementation of far too many worthless programs, and endless greed and self-aggrandizement. He has a much tougher group to try and impress, if he gets this job, and he will have to actually produce results instead of tears.

CCSS are now called Missouri Learning Standards and they ARE the exact same thing.
