Joplin High School Construction scheduled to be completed in March

(From Joplin Schools)

The final phase of construction at the new JHS/FTC is scheduled for completion by March 2015.

This includes the Performing Arts Center, located on the north side of the campus. This is the area of the property most affected by unexpected mining-related site issues during construction, leading to construction delays.

The performing arts area includes a 1,150-seat auditorium; a black box theater with indoor/outdoor seating; choir, band, and orchestra rehearsal halls with sound-isolating practice rooms; and an art gallery to showcase student artwork.

Finish work throughout the JHS/FTC campus and on the grounds is also scheduled to be completed by March. A community open house for the Performing Arts Center will be scheduled in the spring.

If we clear out some nearby houses, we can construct the Huff Dome. Slightly.larger than Texas Stadium, this climate controlled regional landmark can host professional sporting and other entertainment. Did someone say Super Bowl. For just a few dollars this investment in our childten will be well worth it.

MIGHT AS WELL.

For CJ!
