A landslide victory for change- Koch, Martucci, and Roberts

These totals do not include Newton County's results. The top vote getter of all candidates, spending less money than any except Lane Roberts, was Jeff Koch, successful in his second try.

Jennifer Martucci collected more votes than Melinda Campbell and Nancy Good combined.

I will post the Newton County votes when I receive them.

I bet Huff is sitting in the corner with some beer about to explode! Watch out SUCKER you're going down! Huff now would be a great time for you to resign and go work at McDonalds as a burger flipper!

I'm so thrilled to see this. I honestly thought it would be a lot closer.

Can you explain, again, what will happen to the Roberts seat?

Oh. Snap. Way to go, Joplin!

Congratulations joplin! We no longer live there but it looks like steps are being taken to right the ship.

What a pretty AWESOME message everyone who voted is sending to those in denial. Roberts gained more votes than Sharp. Martucci wins with a landslide regardless of CJ Huffs malice, childish, and embarrassing strategy he has displayed. And then Good, no matter what amount of money you spend it still doesn't get you a win. * I wonder if the board gets the picture....NOT WANTED....NOT NEEDED....NEED TO GO! !

Anonymous said...

Hopefully as Roberts wont accept the seat the board will NOT appoint Sharp. She has had her turn and kept the seat warm long enough! Adiós Señorita....

Huff to Fort:

'Can I get a letter of recommendation from you?'

Wow wasn't even close. I think the voters have spoken loud and clear. They want a better education for our kids. It's not about buildings or ribbon cuttings it's attracting and maintaining quality teachers who care about teaching. It's not about bright futures or the initiative of the day it's about teaching our kids. It's about our kids getting the best public education in SW MO. I hope that will be the focus.

I wonder which window Huff threw his hard hat through?

Where did all the commenters go who used to say that nobody agrees with Turner and he is just bitter and there are clearly no problems because everyone is happy? Won't they come back to re-rationalize things?

CJ will probably create a job in Administration or Bright Futures for Annie. After all, she has all the necessary qualifications...NONE.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes Landis and Steele to jump to the other side of the fence to distance themselves from Huff. If they plan to run for reelection, probably not very long is my guess.

Temporary setback for Huff-tards said...

Calm down Turner-tards.

So the Head Hufftard acted like a total ass-clown in causing trouble for the Martucci woman just a few days before the election and it bit him in the ass.

What has been going on the past six years won't be undone in a day even if a new board fires Huff.

Let's understand something. The Good Ol' Boys network wanted Huff to do what Huff did, just as they supported Speck. Speck's problem was that Speck got waaaaay out of line. Huff is smarter. Huff backs down from over-reaching then there is no reason why Huff cannot last another year or two until a face-saving arrangement can be made and Huff is sent off with a big severance package.

Don't expect Turner to ever teach again. Everyone who knew Turner knew that sooner or later Turner would be fired from what Turner did because Turner has his own agenda. Turner is, in a left-wing sort of way, as arrogant as Speck and Huff.

So, Moan Turner-tards, I think that Huff will work another few years here at Joplin and then will "move on" in due course. Turner will remain unemployed and blacklisted. You Turner-tards will have to continue to not show your asses -- if you know what is good for you.

Randy's calling is journalism, and the next little while is likely to be the most "target rich" environment for journalism he's ever going to have in his life, covering what looks like the inevitable fall of Huff and what we hope will be a recovery from the long term mismanagement of the district. Which itself will take years.

And don't forget the city of Joplin, lots is happening there and we have no idea what the audit will reveal, the Wallace-Bajjali saga will entertain us for months if not years ... Randy is almost certainly having the time of his life, especially since no one should doubt he played a role, very possibly a significant one, in this amazing election.

I'm sure he'd like an opportunity to teach again, and it would be truly sweet if he was reinstated in a few years, but it's hardly the end of the world if that doesn't happen. Heck, just by reading his reporting, as we know a number of Joplin students do, he's teaching the art of real journalism by example.

2:07 built a lot of straw-men there to make himself look smarter than what he is, which is generally what he does.

Randy would you please stop publishing 2:07's comments. I understand that it only makes the commenter look insensitive, uneducated, and rude, however it really is offensive to use "tard"

Nothing will happen for another year. The board does not have to appoint someone to the seat Roberts won. My guess is they will leave it at 6 members for a year.

There's every reason to believe a lot will happen in the next year, for the worst case for us, a deadlocked 3-3 board, means Huff will no longer get his excesses rubber stamped by the board. He wants to spend another $100,000 on something frivolous like different colored seats, or yet another administrator? Not going to happen legally.

And with their words actually meaning something, the 3 on our side can rake Huff over the coals during meetings, it's not going to be at all fun for him.

All of the above assumes none of 3 incumbents can tell which way the wind is now blowing, or care about their reputations now that Huff has started to publicly show his true colors with his last minute dirty politics and generally pathetic posture. Using the private email of a parent for political purposes clearly crosses a line, which gives them an excuse to change their position, which could result in a 5-2 or worse board posture towards Huff.

Re-read your previous posts Supertard.
Most did not come to pass, but like a rooster taking credit for the sunrise, you crowed when your stopped clock was right a couple of times.

April 2014: Huff to Fort
'You need more than one vote to fire me!'

April 2015: Fort to Huff
'Okay'

I think that Kimbrough should come back for another year since he is already on the board and now will not feel defeated after all those years of no one helping him out!

@11:15 Hahahahahahahahaaaaa . That is the best line yet.

What goes around, comes around. My spouse was bullied and pushed out of the Joplin School District for no reason other than dislike by Besendorfer and Huff (true for many, many others). I am so thankful that changes are finally happening. Huff will finally get what is coming to him and I am just waiting for Western Governor’s University to fold up under Besendorfer’s “leadership”. Landis should save his money and not even run next year. The school board is finally getting some level headed, critical-thinking leadership and things will only get better for Joplin schools.
Perhaps we’ll see some textbooks in the schools again and stop losing great teachers to the surrounding schools? Just thinking optimistically.
