Former W. C. principal charged with murder needs new lawyer; Wampler quits

Dee Wampler, perhaps the best known criminal defense attorney in southwest Missouri will no longer represent former Webb City High School Principal Mark Porter, who is charged with two counts of murder in the first degree.

The reason for Wampler's withdrawal is simple- Porter, 54, has not paid him.
Porter is charged with killing Gary and Jan Tyrell of Springfield. on April 30, 2014. Tyrrell was the assistant superintendent of the Mountain Grove school district when Porter was superintendent.

The probable cause affidavit indicates that DNA and the tracking of stolen coins led authorities to Porter.
A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for May 22 in Greene County Circuit Court.
