KMBC reporter examines Kansas City-DESE situation

In the accompanying video, veteran KMBC reporter Michael Mahoney offers a breakdown of the war between the Kansas City School District and Education Commissioner Chris Nicastro. Basically, it comes down to this- Kansas City did well enough, using DESE's own formula, to receive provisional accreditation this year, but it was denied because Nicastro had her own ideas on what she wants to see happen to the school district.
