Jury selection begins in trial of accused killer of MSSU coach

Jury selection began this afternoon in the first degree murder trial of Jeffrey Bruner, who is charged in connection with the November 2, 2013, shooting of Missouri Southern State University offensive liine coach Derek Moore outside of the Northstar 14 theaters.

Bruner confronted Moore, who was at the movies with Bruner's estranged wife, Dawn, and shot him several times, according to the probable cause statement.

Fifty-two prospective jurors were questioned today and another 56 have been called in for tomorrow. The trial is expected to last four days.

Judge Gayle Crane ruled last week in favor of a request from the Joplin Globe and KODE/KSN for photographers, with the stipulation that no audio will be allowed.

A request from KOAM was denied.

Seems odd that the only true news organizations request was denied.

I wonder who she is "dating" now?

She's dating the same guy that she started seeing only eight weeks after the murder.
