The City of Joplin will host a Groundbreaking for the Joplin Skatepark at 3 p.m., Monday, April 6 at Ewert Park, located just north of 7th Street on School Avenue. The four zone skatepark provides access for multiple users and welcomes all ages and skill levels.
American Ramp Company, contractor for the park, will be on site to highlight some of the features included in the community’s first skatepark. The elements that will be placed in the park were selected based on input received from many riders and skateboarders who attended public meetings earlier this year. This new skatepark is designed for everyone, including skateboarders, BMX riders, rollerbladers, and more!
A photo rendering, along with information about the new skatepark and its amenities will be provided during the ground breaking.
