For those wondering if the Joplin R-8 School District will have classes today, this tweet was posted two hours ago by Superintendent C. J. Huff:

School is in session today. Bundle up...it will get colder throughout the day!

(Note: At about 7 a.m. Huff decided to close the middle schools and Joplin High School for the day, but left elementary schools open.)
