Kosaksy C. Phillip, 24, is being held in the Joplin City Jail on charges of first degree murder and armed criminal action. The charges will be submitted to the Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney's office, according to a Joplin Police Department news release.
JPD officers were called to Economy Inn and Suites at 11:49 a.m. after a report of a shooting and found a wounded Bradley, who died later at Freeman West Hospital.
While a search was conducted, a lockdown was put into effect at Irving Elementary School and various nearby businesses.
The manhunt for Phillip ended with his arrest at 3:55 p.m. in the area of Economy Inn and Suites.
Phillip is already facing drug and tampering charges in Newton County Circuit Court.
The drug charge came as a result of a traffic stop January 12 at Gateway Drive and Kalmia Drive. A patdown of Phillip turned up a white baggy containing crystal meth in his right tennis shoe, according to the probable cause statement.
Phillip was arrested for tampering after a woman said he stole her 2011 Kia Forte on April 30.
Jasper County online records indicate a full order of protection was issued against Phllip August 8, though no details are available.
