The continuing problem of how to pay Joplin police officers and fire department personnel enough to be able to attract and retain enough people to protect the city will be the topic during a Joplin City Council work session 5:45 p.m. Monday in 5th Floor Council Chambers at City Hall.
The pay issue and a discussion of the process of citizen requests to address the council are the only items on the agenda.
