Judd McPherson warns people on enemies list: I have a large circle of very influential friends

Tired of social media comments about his daughter Devyn Kyle and the murder of his granddaughter, Jayda Kyle, local attorney Judd McPherson has taken to Facebook, creating a Wall of Shame for those he feels have wronged his family and warning them of things that might happen to them.

Some of those McPherson is calling out have come right out and said that Devyn Kyle should either be in jail alongside her former live-in boyfriend, Jalen Vaden, who has been charged with second degree murder and felony child abuse in connection with Jayda Kyle's death, or in jail instead of him.

Others have questioned her parenting or have accused McPherson of a coverup. McPherson attacked the cruelty of those people for their written attacks on a family that has lost a three-year-old child.

In a Facebook post earlier today, McPherson, who also serves as prosecuting attorney for the City of Duenweg, explained his plans for those people.

"Some people have asked why I don't just block them and move on," McPherson wrote. "My hope is that by exposing some of the worst case scenarios, people will see the names and remember them.

"While I am certainly not the 'mafia boss' that the Facebook conspiracy pages made me out to be, I do have a large circle of very influential friends."

McPherson said his friends "will certainly remember the names of those who have attacked us and harassed us without knowing us or have a single clue about what happened. The next time that those that have constantly threatened or harassed our family unsuccessfully apply for a job, don't get that warning ticket that they hoped for when they get pulled over, or get declined service at a restaurant (yes, that has already happened) I hope that they remember that attacking someone that you literally don't know has consequences."

Jayda Kyle died December 1 at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, three days after she was hospitalized after abuse that took place at her home at 405 Meadow Lake in Carl Junction.

Vaden's trial is scheduled to begin April 15 and is expected to last 10 days. Pre-trial motions will be heard April 1.

I am so happy you wrote this piece. I've been reading Judss posts and all I keep thinking to myself is he is just confirming or proving that he was the person that he has denied being since this tragedy occurred. His daughter and himself has stated the truth will come out and indeed it seems to be.

James 5:1-6 New International Version (NIV)
Warning to Rich Oppressors
5 Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. 2 Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. 4 Look! The wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. 5 You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter.[a] 6 You have condemned and murdered the innocent one, who was not opposing you.

This man is saying that if you mess with my family, I have friends in high places and I can get things done. Hmmm...the pieces of the puzzle are fitting together more and more in my head of how this might all have really played out. I think this guy really screwed up with this post. If I was on this Jury, it would sure raise concern and have me questioning a lot of things including the confession.

These are public threats by a public official in a position to make them happen. "You don't get the warning you hoped for when you were pulled over." So you could see legal consequences for not toeing his line. The police work for him personally? That's how it sounds. This is how dictatorships work. Who prosecutes ethical lapses by elected MO politicians? This one crosses a line big-time.

I have not been following this case, but when a politician boasts of a large circle of influential friends willing to do his bidding, and threatens people with legal and economic trouble for speaking up against him, well, Merle Haggard said it best: You're walkin' on the fightin' side of me.

Consider me a brand-new enemy, Mr. McPherson.

I would really love to know what the name of the restaurant is that refused someone service in defense of Judd? Come on and let everyone know so we can make an educated decision on whether we should bother going there. Doesn't make your feelings known by sticking up for your "influential" friend secretly.

He's a bully.
The things he does are not based on law but on $$$ and what he and his friends want.
He needs to go.

"The truth is like a lion, it does not need to defend itself. Let it loose, it will defend itself."
Always defending yourself or making sure people KNOW you're innocent, why exactly?
I can't quite put my finger on it, yet, but reading Devyn's diary entries on facebook just are off.. she is trying so hard to portray an innocent greiving mother but you just get the feeling when you read it that she is not. Grieving, yes, but innocent- probably not.

It is easy to filter through the messages and only post the most trashy ones, but I would almost be willing to bet there have been more messages to this family that are asking legitimate questions about things that do not make sense, or are calling them out on things that they can not deny. But you will never see THOSE messages on the wall of shame. The only thing this family has to sit on is the fact that Jalen has confessed, regardless of how that confession came to be. I am curious though if Jalen has said what really happened that night. I'm sure he has to the right people and to his family, but if he truly is innocent, you won't see those people that know his story on that night blasting it on social media that he is innocent. I am sure the Vaden's have gotten way worse messages, but you won't see them start a wall of shame.

McPherson brought this post upon himself, but can someone explain to me what elected office he holds? These comments by the deeply informed public confuse me.

I do not live in Missouri however if I was a resident of this area and cared about the hard working citizens that have a right to an opinion and fair treatment by a public official this is where I would start my complaint

Just to make clear, no LEO will be writing any tickets or taking any other enforcement action to "get even" with anyone. We are ashamed someone would even suggest such a thing.

I have been watching this story unfold for a while now. At first I thought the Vaden was guilty because he admitted to it. Now I am starting to wonder. I agree that the people harassing the Mcpherson are cruel and for the most part misinformed. They are not particularly bright. After reading Judds' remarks about his influential friends I think there may be alot more to the story. If this man will threaten (very vaguely) to use his influential friends to pay back ignorant people who have stood against him what would he do to protect his child from something far worse ,jail prison etc.

I have heard many stories about the Joplin "good ole' boys" in high places that have each others backs. One never knows whether to believe that kind of stuff or not. With his own words, Judd just confirmed that it is true. I am appalled! This clearly changes how I view this case.

It really does get your mind wondering. There have always been unanswered questions in my mind. The biggest being, why after the little girl died and they were told that the cause was abusive head trauma did the Mother continue living with the boyfriend clear up until he was arrested knowing full well that they were the only two adults in the house? She had to know if it wasn't her that it was him. The fact that the McPhersons way out of this, is the confession makes me now wonder if the boyfriend wasn't promised something by the "influential friends" for taking the rap. In other words, was he set up? I don't know but this post sure makes me question it.

Hes a bully?? People have threatened his daughter...he isnt a bully no more than the rest of you murder supporters...people keep bullying his daughter..any father would step up in defense of his daughter...AND IF HIS DAUGHTER HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT SHE WOULD ALREADY BE IN JAIL....YOU PEOPLE NEED TO GET A GRIP AND RELIZE JALEN CONFESSED AND WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO TAKE BACK HIS STATEMENT

Anonymous said...

I agree with you that any Father should step up and defend his daughter from bullies. However, that isn't the point here. The point is Judd McPherson just wrote in his own words that he has influential friends that can get things done for him, including law enforcement. If you don't see a conflict with that as far as events that took place in the very beginning of this case then you need to evaluate your morals.

He was set up and promised Judd would take care of him and like a fool trusted him at his word. I mean hell he seen how Judd took care of getting rid of Mack for Devyn. My hope is karma gets Judd and Devyn one day.

He is a city prosecutor. Some of these are elected and some are appointed. I'm pretty sure in Duenweg he was probably appointed.

According to his LinkedIn profile he owns Garfields restaurant in Branson Landing.

Yeah I saw where she had only been with Jalen for like eight months and already had her kids calling him Daddy. That's a messed up thing to do to your kids.

Those people should NOT be sending those disgusting messages to his family. With that being said, his statement of his "influential friends" not only has himself looking negative but also disgraced our law inforcement and businesses. When a tyrant decides to throw his weight around and take his "influential friends" down with him he is not to be trusted. Also kinda makes you QUESTION this so called CONFESSION.

I really do dislike the way some of these people have gone about dealing with the mcpherson's some of it is extremely crude and distasteful. That being said I do believe that something is being covered up.I also believe there have been some very credible questions asked of the mcpherson's and they do not want these questions answered. Judd Mcpherson post about influential friends and vague threats tell me this is a man who has done this many times before. He is in the "good old boy" system and knows it. If I was his influential friends I would begin to distance myself from him simply for stating the clout he had. The fact he had the testis to openly state what he has the power to do tells me he thinks he is above the law. The truth is if I needed a lawyer he would be on the top of my list, because now I know he is shady enough to get the job done. I wouldn't want him to serve as a public figure. The other thing I do not understand is why people are mad at Randy Turner for reporting this. I do not know the man but kudos to him for doing it.This is the kind of stuff people should want to know about.

Anonymous said...

I don't know why anyone would be upset with Randy Turner either. I applaud him for reporting this. Sometimes when people think they are above the law, it comes back to bite them in the way of a good reporter. Keep up the good work Randy!

I'm from Tennessee and have been following the case since it happened. I don't think Devyn killed Jayda but she used very poor judgement letting some dude shack up with her & giving him duties she should have done. She knew him less than a year but had him undressing her daughter & putting her to bed. I check on Judd & Devyns FB once in a while just to see where the case is. Judd is everything that is bad & sleazy about lawyers & corrupt officials in a small town. He's a truly despicable bully & his posts the last few weeks confirm it. Makes you wonder what he's been up to all these years. Someone should also look into possible corruption by him & his friends in high places. No wonder Devyn is a mess, look at what raised her.

He should have consulted a good attorney before posting such public statements

Anonymous said...

It takes someone with a pretty big ego to publicly say that he has friends who work the system for him. I don't agree with people harassing his daughter but then again, I've seen her do the same thing to other people. I've even heard on more than one occasion about someone posting an opinion on their own page and her messaging them so it has gone both ways. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!
